After Shimizu Makoto accidentally meets her non-yuri-reading coworker Maekawa Akane at a yuri convention, she initially expects to get made fun of. But instead, she gets to know Maekawa better and discovers another side of her.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't really like this one. It is a story with two very closeted lesbians in the main roles, and that means they still need some to figure out some stuff about themselves and what the other means to them. That's alright, I can very much understand that, but in the manga that means SO MUCH SLOWBURN. And it isn't even the regular kind (which I don't hate btw): Maekawa does some bait and switch games I personally would not have the patience for if I were Shimizu as well as leading her on all the time. Ignoring that, the art has a sketchy kind of style which I really did appreciate. It was pretty neat and fit well with the comedic character and visual gags of the manga, which were pretty funny. I liked the latter half with Maekawa trying to get her manga up and running, the romance starts to be really good the moment Maekawa learns to open her goddamn mouth.

After the annoying slog at the beginning, it is a good romance story about a woman doing her best to make it in the manga industry. The beginning makes it lose quite a lot of points in my eyes, but maybe I just couldn't appreciate the slowburn enough.
