Giving up the stressful life in the city, two women flee to a rural island and now have to deal with all the consequences this entails.

One of the few yuri manga I've read that actually starts with the two protagonists already being together, which kind of made me anxious they were gonna break up in the end. I mean, where else would the drama come from otherwise? But no, they stay together through their struggles, and oh boy do they struggle! And that struggle is also portrayed so realistically; I've read few manga where you can really feel how the characters lose hope and slowly run out of options like this, their demise inching ever closer. The conflicts between the two these struggles cause also feel very real in their unavoidability: it isn't a lack of communication with an easy solution like usually (which oddly was kind of a refresher). The ending reflects that, feeling tragic and unpreventable while still managing to be kind of hopeful. Despite all of this, the manga still sprinkles in a bit of loving between the two which acts as a nice room to breathe. All of this gets topped off with an absolutely beautiful artstyle.

Even though this is a tragedy, it isn't that hard to read, probably because it is rather on the shorter side. I really enjoyed this one.
